Jamie

Maid of Honor

I can’t say I know the exact moment Laurel and I became friends, but it feels like we always have been. I feel so blessed to have known Laurel through so many stages of life; from our days of making YouTube videos in her basement to forcing kids in our classes to switch seats so we could sit next to each other. It’s so sweet to look back and see how much we’ve both grown from those two girls dancing to Hannah Montana. Our wedding planning back then involved a lot of duct tape (??) and neon colors, and even though this wedding will be duct tape free, I am so happy to be a part of Laurel and David’s special day :)

Best Man

I met David Rigth before college in New York during a sports tournament when he told me he is also going to Towson University. Ever since then, we’ve been best friends. I decided to take a gap year during my sophomore year. I called David to catch up and he was really excited to tell me about a girl he started dating. To be honest, I’ve never heard him talk about a person like this before and I was genuinely happy for him. Before I left for my gap year, David and I would always study at the library together. Ironically, David and Laurel started talking to each other when they met in the library the fall semester that I left. I love how fate, timing, and ultimate frisbee brought them together. Hearing these stories from my friends and family about how David and Laurel supported each other through thick and thin, I just knew there was something special between them. I’m grateful to know these two amazing individuals and it’s a great honor to stand beside David as his best man.

Julia

Bridesmaid

From growing up together in Ellicott City to being roommates in Baltimore to enjoying our mid-20s together in DC, Laurel and I have been through it all. I wouldn’t have been able to do many of the important things in life without her…like working for the YMCA three summers in a row, exploring New Orleans, or trying out for the frisbee team freshman year with no athletic bone in my body. Now it’s time for me to pass the torch to David. I’ll always remember watching Laurel and David fall in love in college, and I knew from then on, that I wouldn’t have picked a more special person than David to be her partner through it all.

Groomsmen

Getting to know David in college and becoming as close as we are truly is one of the highlights of my life. I honestly don’t know if there’s anyone I’ve laughed and enjoyed life more with. He help push me to places I never thought I’d go. Seeing us go from watching terrace house in your dorm room and making halfhearted promises of one day traveling together, to graduating and making good on those promises, I don’t know if there’s anyone who inspires me to push myself more. Now seeing David have an equal, someone that can truly be that push for him is special. I feel lucky just being able to be a part of it. Laurel thank you for being with him through peaks and valleys. I cant wait to see where your journey together will take you.
